What this website collects, why we ask for it, how long we hold it, and what you can tell us to do with it. This is a working draft while we finish it off.

Who we are

This website is run by ISDC Thripunithura, registered as Institute of Skill Development and Communication. We decide how the information described here is used, so in data-protection terms we are the controller. If you want to talk to us about your data, email isdccochin@gmail.com or write to us at PNRA-15, Door No. B-7, Kannanaayakkal Buildings, Puthusseri Road, Kizhakkekotta, Thripunithura, Kerala 682301.

You can also call the office on 9746 838 330 or 0484 2775043.

What we collect, and why

When you fill in the contact or admission form, we get whatever you type in: your name, your email, your phone number with the country you picked, the course you mentioned if you mentioned one, and your message. We also keep a record that you ticked the box saying we can reply.

Alongside each form, our server quietly notes a few technical things: which page you sent it from, the time, your IP address, and the identifier your browser sends about itself. We only ever use these to keep spam out and to stop someone hammering the form.

While analytics is switched on, Google Analytics collects the usual visit data for us. That means which pages you opened, a rough idea of where you were, and the kind of device and browser you used. It does not know your name, and Google Analytics 4 does not store your IP address.

If you switch analytics off, no analytics cookies are set. Google Analytics still gets a basic note that a page was opened, with the page address and the kind of device and browser, but with no cookie on your device it has nothing to recognise you by when you come back.

Advertising is on until you switch it off. While it is on, Google can use your visit to measure whether our ads lead to enquiries and to show you our ads, including on other websites. If you switch it off, no advertising cookies are set and your visit is not used to personalise ads for you.

Who else sees it

  • The company that hosts this website, because that is where the enquiries are stored.
  • Google, because a copy of every enquiry lands in our office inbox, and that inbox is a Gmail account.
  • Google again. The visit data goes to Google Analytics, which we load through Google Tag Manager. While analytics is switched on that is the full picture; if you switch it off, it is only the basic cookie-free note that a page was opened. While advertising is switched on, Google also gets visit data to measure and show our ads.

We do not sell your information. The only advertising use is the Google advertising described above, and you can switch it off at any time.

If your data leaves the country

Google may store or process some of this on servers abroad, including in the United States. Google is signed up to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and offers standard contract terms for other regions.

How long we hold on to it

We are still settling this with the ISDC office, so treat the following as a placeholder. We plan to keep enquiry records for [X] after we last hear from you and then delete them. The technical anti-spam notes are kept for about [X days]. Google Analytics is set to clear its data after [14 months].

What you can ask us for

Depending on where you live, you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to stop using it, or ask for it in a form you can take somewhere else. Where we are relying on your permission, you can withdraw it at any time, and doing so does not undo anything we did while we still had it.

To do any of this, email isdccochin@gmail.com. We will come back to you within the time the law allows.

Cookies

This site sets one cookie it cannot work without, plus Google Analytics and Google advertising cookies, which are on unless you switch them off. The full list, with what each one does and how long it lasts, is on the Cookie Policy.

If you think something is wrong

If you feel we have handled your data badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the data-protection regulator in the country where you live.

Changes to this page

If the way we use personal data changes, we will update this page. Where the law requires it, we will ask for your permission again.

Last updated September 2026. This is still a draft while we finish it off, especially the part about how long we keep things.
